Noah Villanueva, a senior at Northwood High School, has been named the prestigious title of Orange County Register’s 2025 Artist of the Year for film and television.

Following a comprehensive search that included input from staff, students, parents, and community members, the IUSD Board of Education has selected Interim Superintendent Cassie Parham as the District’s next Superintendent.
As part of our annual instructional materials adoption process, instructional materials will be recommended to the Board of Education for adoption and available for public review beginning Monday, April 28th.

Portola High School was named a 2025 ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv Green Ribbon School sustainability honoree by the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv Department of Education for their outstanding achievements in environmental excellence.

Portola High School and University High School have each been awarded Strike Up The Band grants from the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.

Four IUSD students were named recipients of the prestigious corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarships, the highest number awarded to any school district in Orange County.

Thirty-four IUSD students were invited to present their water-related Science Fair projects at a special showcase hosted by the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) on April 14.

The OC Register recently announced the semifinalists for Artist of the Year, with eight IUSD students selected for their respective art disciplines.

Sierra Vista Middle School’s Science Olympiad team earned the prestigious title of Southern ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv Science Olympiad Champions. This marks the fourth consecutive title for the team.
